Hard working John celebrates his 80th birthday

Gullands consultant John Rice celebrated his 80th birthday recently, and the firm held a celebratory dinner for John’s colleagues and friends. For John, the day took place in what was also just another typical working week.

John’s long working career prior to joining Gullands, took him to the position of senior partner in the long-established solicitors firm of Days in Earl Street, Maidstone where the original practice was founded in 1892. The firm of Days merged with Gullands in October 2007 and John became a consultant with the combined firms. John continues in full-time practice and has considerable experience in both civil and criminal litigation, with divorce proceedings and related family matters.

John specialises in non-contentious work and has wide experience with freehold and leasehold land transactions. Also, the preparation of Wills and estate administration in both Testate and Intestate matters, including Inheritance Tax work and schemes and Deputyships with the office of the Public Guardian.
